GE Profile Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

As the name suggests, the GE Profile series is targeted at the consumer who wants to incorporate cutting-edge features in their kitchen. This fridge is loaded with features, from an in-the-door Keurig K-cup coffee maker to a sophisticated water dispenser. But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. The refrigerator is expensive, so I expected better.

This fridge is a great choice, despite the small blip. It has a huge freezer compartment, which is unusual for counter-depth French-door fridges. It also holds plenty of frozen food items compared to other models.

The fridge has 17 shelves and compartments. It also gives you notifications when a door is left open, when the fridge or freezer needs to be defrosted and when it's time to change the filter.

It is nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS had Precise Fill it's an option in a handful of other GE fridges that allows you to choose how many cups of water you'd like to disperse simultaneously. The fridge displays a countdown timer to show you how much water is left but it's not as useful as Precise fill.

Designed to look like a seamless part of your kitchen Bosch's French Door Fridge With Snack Drawer-door refrigerator looks seamless and is a standout. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also has a veggie compartment that keeps vegetables and fruits fresher for longer periods, and two compressors for preserving food. The Ice maker we tested is one of the most efficient and produces an ice pyramid with only a little water. This fridge is ideal for a single family or kitchenette that needs an attractive design and top of the line food preservation.

The temperature of the freezer remained constant at just above 0°F and never changed more than a tiny fraction - this is essential to avoid freezer burn. The fridge has an ordinary French door design, with two rows of spill-capture shelving and a set crisper drawers. The upper right shelf can be folded down to give taller items more headroom. There's also a full-width drawer for deli and an inside water dispenser.

This refrigerator is equipped with an ice maker making it easy to move the frozen ice whenever you need it. The freezer also features clever design features, like sliding drawers that can help you organize your items. It also has a large bin that can accommodate plenty of frozen food and an ice storage bin.

Smart InstaView panel is another awesome feature of the refrigerator. It allows you to control the fridge's temperature as well as lighting from your smartphone. It's a simple method to monitor your refrigerator and manage it, especially when away from home.

But while the Smart InstaView is a neat feature, it doesn't add to the overall performance of the refrigerator. In fact it took longer to defrost and chill food in this fridge than some of the others we test. This is probably due to its greater capacity.

It's also a little cheaper than the top counter-depth refrigerator that has an ice maker, which can make it an attractive option.
